M.H. Collins offers tailor-made consulting services to help individuals or groups who need easy-to-follow assistance in writing articles or a book. Clients might include: Museums with limited staff to undertake such a large project as the town's history; families/individual family member who have the geneaology, but want a fuller story;
organizations, corporations or non-profits without an archivist and want the history of their group preserved; school groups; or preservation/Main Street organizations.
Typical workshop topics would help participants establish project parameters, define the topic, manage research, document work, conduct successful interviews, fact-checking, marketing the final product, as well as tips for establishing and maintaining committee harmony. Session would cover individual needs of clients.
